Manicures and pedicures sound like a great deal to relax or just to give a new touch to your nails. They can be relaxing and have many health benefits as well! A manicure is a cosmetic aesthetic treatment for the nails and hands that can be performed at home or at a nail salon. A manicure comprises filing and shaping the free edge of the nails, using a cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers to press and trim any nonliving tissue (but not the cuticle or hangnails), treatments with different liquids, hand therapy, and the use of nail lacquer. The therapy is known as a pedicure when it is administered to the toenails and feet. If there is no willful damage to the nail lacquer, it can stay on for 2–3 days before needing a new manicure.
